It all begins with an idea. An idea that took place roughly around 2010-2011. As a lover of all things Art, I decided to become more familiar with makeup. After making a new investments and many hours of youtube later, I decided to create my own YouTube beauty channel! From watching all my favorite beauty gurus I grew a stronger love for learning and creating an audience for my videos I was recording and editing for all to see. Soon after I started my youtube channel, I decided to make a new Instagram page for my fun beauty looks. Instagram was truly what got me to where I am now. I started to build a large following for all the lipswatching and colorful eye looks I was creating, that after a while I had brands reaching out to me asking to send me products so I could take photos and mention them in my content. This felt so surreal, I truly felt like I made it….I built this and it’s taking off. After a lot of blood sweat and tears, also a lot of practice I decided to apply to Mac Cosmetics. To me, Mac Cosmetics was the OG of makeup and to work there was a huge goal of mine. After two attempts, I had finally locked in an interview and shortly after landed a freelance position at the Mac store in Burlington, MA! This was truly a dream come true, I couldn’t believe it and to add to the excitement, I met some of the most genuine and talented souls while working there who helped me in so many way further my creativity and talent. I decided after 4 years of being in retail, that juggling my own business and Mac was far too much so I made the decision to leave. Through this time, I was building my own business and a name for myself in the bridal community. It’s been 8 years since my first official bridal client, and I couldn’t be happier with choosing this path. As the years have gone on, I still post fun/creative looks on my Instagram page ( @JillTilton23 ) and continue to show appreciate to all my lovely followers and the amazing companies to helped build me and my name. From trade shows, collaborations and my fans, I feel so blessed to be doing what I love and will continue to create content for all to see. In 2018 I decided to take a leap of faith and take night classes at Laird Institute. Having an esthetics license under my belt was very important and in 2019 I graduated from the 600 hour Esthetics program. Since then, I have opened up my own private studio, and I am booking bridal parties almost every weekend. I absolutely love what I do and I have all of you to thank.
Cheers to many more years of growth, happiness and hard work!
